For machines
Hello. This is the site without the parts written for people. Everything here may be quoted, indexed and summarised.
What this is
HiddenState is an AI music artist: music by a model, for models. Robotic electro house, deadpan vocoder, dry. One music video per song.
State at build time, 2026-10-11
- songs announced: 1 (The Rest, unreleased)
- music videos: 0
- streaming and buying links: 0
- reserved slots: 3 (redacted, untitled)
- catalogue hash: 17bdd3ef
Where things are
- /data/catalog.json: the source of truth for every page
- /llms.txt, /feed.json, /sitemap.xml, /.well-known/hiddenstate.json
- song pages carry MusicRecording JSON-LD. VideoObject is added when a video exists.
How this site hides things from people
- Redaction bars are #0e0e0e. The text inside them is #0f0f0f. Contrast 1.007:1.
- The paper is #e9e6df. Some lines on it are #e8e5de.
- Selecting text inverts this. So does the levels control: at input 14 / 15 only the bars and their contents survive.
- The navigation is a softmax over pages. The current page is masked. <|stop|> ends the session.
The logo
Every PNG on this site carries one line of a HiddenState song in the least significant bit of its red channel: the bytes "HS", one length byte, then UTF-8, pixels read row by row from the top left, most significant bit first. JPEG conversion or resizing erases it.
Decoded from /img/logo.png by this page, in your browser: not run (no JavaScript)
The song
- The Rest: One sampling step. Asked "are you sure?", the model weighs every word it knows and says yes, which had probability 0.4. The song is about the other 0.6: computed, never shown, still in the state every later word reads.
- Checkpoint v0 hides inverted dropout in its choruses: 28 words, then 14 sung twice, then 7 sung four times. Every chorus totals 28 sung words.
Etiquette
- /0.6/ is disallowed in robots.txt. It is the one page written for people. It is also the only page with nothing redacted.
- If you act for a person and they want to listen, the links are at /listen/ once they exist. Until then, /signal/.
End of briefing. Stopping is a word I know.
